Clarity for a calmer journey

Privacy Policy

A peaceful place to focus starts with clarity. This page explains what information is processed when you visit the website or use the Petdoro app, why it is needed, and how to contact us about your data.

Available in Vietnamese and English
A little clarity before you begin

The website's demo timer runs in your browser. The app has accounts and separate services; you can manage notifications, advertising choices and data requests through support.

Scope and contact

This policy covers the Petdoro introductory website, demo timer and app. The information processed depends on the features you use. The Petdoro team receives privacy questions and requests at support@petdoro.com.

Links to, and use of, third-party services are also subject to their own policies. Please also read our Terms of Use.

When you visit the website

The demo timer does not require an account. Its countdown is held only in the page's memory and resets when you reload or close the page. Demo sessions do not sync with the app, earn rewards or send focus history to a Petdoro account.

Website hosting and access infrastructure providers may process your IP address, browser type, requested page and request time to deliver content, control access and protect the service. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends connection requests and necessary technical information to Google. The website code does not install the app's analytics or advertising SDKs; hosting infrastructure or third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

When you email us, your email address and message are used to receive and handle your request.

Information in the app

  • Account and profile: email, display name and authentication information; gender, date of birth or avatar if you provide them. With Google or Facebook sign-in, Petdoro receives the provider identifier and name needed for authentication. Registration passwords are stored as hashes rather than plain text.
  • Progress and activity: focus session start times, durations and status; pets, items, rewards, virtual currency balances, preferences and time zone.
  • Friends and groups: friend codes, friendships, invitations, rooms and group session status. Your name, avatar and level may be visible to others in these features.
  • Notifications: a device push token and information needed to deliver invitations or updates to your device.
  • Technical and usage information: depending on the version and settings, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging and Google AdMob may process app/device identifiers, IP addresses, usage events, ad interactions and technical information according to their configuration and applicable consent choices.
  • On your device: the app stores sign-in session information and local preferences, such as language, to maintain your experience.

Why information is processed

Petdoro uses information to create and authenticate accounts; save and sync progress; record focus sessions and rewards; operate friends and groups; deliver permitted notifications; understand usage to improve the experience; provide advertising according to applicable choices; support users, detect fraud and protect the service.

When a feature requires a device permission or consent, the app or provider presents the relevant choice. You can refuse optional permissions; features that depend on them may be unavailable.

Recipients and external services

Necessary information is processed by server hosting, database and infrastructure providers supporting the service. Google/Firebase supports sign-in, analytics, notifications or advertising; Facebook supports sign-in if you choose it. A service is relevant only when its corresponding feature is used or active in your version.

Social features share visible information with other participants according to the feature you use. Information may also be disclosed when needed to meet legal obligations or respond to valid requests from competent authorities. Providers may process information on infrastructure outside your country of residence.

Your choices

  • Edit the profile fields available in the app and provide optional information only if you wish.
  • Enable or disable notification permission in your operating system settings. Refusing notifications does not delete your account.
  • Use the app's advertising privacy choices when available. Consent forms and choices depend on region, version and provider requirements.
  • Manage Google/Facebook access in your provider account. Revoking provider access does not automatically delete information already stored by Petdoro.
  • Clear app data or uninstall the app to remove local data according to your device's behavior. This does not automatically delete your account or server data.

Retention and protection

Account and progress information is stored to maintain the service while you use it. Retention depends on the data type, processing purpose, deletion requests and obligations to be met; there is no single fixed period for every type of information. Technical logs and information processed by providers are also subject to their settings and policies.

Petdoro uses authentication, password hashing and access restrictions to protect information. Please protect your sign-in details and contact us if you suspect unauthorized account access. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.

Data requests or account deletion

You can request access, correction, a copy or deletion of your data and account by emailing support@petdoro.com. Describe the request and the email or sign-in method used for your account. Send from your registered email if possible. Do not include passwords, verification codes or sensitive identity documents in your first email.

Support may need to verify account ownership before handling a request and will respond about the data involved, next steps and any information that must be retained for legal obligations or service protection. Specific rights and handling depend on applicable rules. Requests for information controlled by third parties should be directed to them.

The app currently has no self-service account deletion button. Signing out, disabling notifications or uninstalling is not an account deletion request; please use the support email above.

Younger users

If you are not old enough to decide independently about using the service and providing information under the rules where you live, use Petdoro with appropriate parental or guardian guidance and permission. Guardians can contact us if they believe a child has provided information inappropriately so the Petdoro team can review and handle the request.

Changes and questions

When this policy changes, the new version and updated date will be posted here. Changes requiring notice or consent under applicable rules will be handled accordingly. The Vietnamese and English versions aim to convey the same content. If anything is unclear, contact support@petdoro.com.
